SADTI was founded to answer a simple question: what would it take for Africa's digital transformation to genuinely include everyone — not just those already positioned to benefit from it? Founded by Jacquiline Godfrey Msambila, a Tanzanian digital governance advocate whose academic training in philosophy and ethics informs how the organisation designs its programmes, SADTI was built to move between policy and practice: from national AI strategy conversations to hands-on digital skills training in Tanzanian classrooms, incubators, and community halls.
To build a repeatable, scalable model for professional and community AI and digital-skills training that expands across sectors and cohorts in Tanzania and the wider region — with inclusion as a design principle, not an afterthought.
A Tanzania — and an Africa — where AI capacity building, digital literacy, and digital economy participation reach every sector and every community, regardless of gender, geography, or socio-economic access.
Every programme is built against Tanzania's own digital and AI strategy frameworks, not imported wholesale from elsewhere.
We design distinct curricula for each professional group we work with, starting with finance and expanding outward.
Gender, geography, and economic access are considered in every programme's design, not addressed as a separate initiative.
The Dira Digital Workforce Lab is built to scale across professions rather than remain a single, one-off training.
Gender, geography, and access considered in every programme.
Grounded in rigorous thinking about governance and impact, not just delivery.
Every programme speaks to Tanzania's own digital economy and AI policy goals.
Growth measured in depth of impact per cohort, not just numbers reached.
